Why this form is required

Most lenders request the same core package: three years of business tax returns, three years of personal tax returns for each twenty percent owner, year-to-date profit and loss and balance sheet, six months of business bank statements, a business debt schedule, entity formation documents, and a government-issued ID. Each item exists to verify something you have already stated on a form, which is why the fastest files are the internally consistent ones.

What documents do I need for a business loan?

Typically three years of business and personal tax returns, year-to-date profit and loss and balance sheet, six months of business bank statements, a business debt schedule, entity formation documents with a certificate of good standing, and a government-issued ID.

Why do lenders want six months of bank statements?

Statements verify that reported revenue actually lands in the account and reveal balance behavior, overdrafts, and any daily or weekly debits that indicate undisclosed financing.

Do I need tax returns if my business is new?

If the business has not filed yet, personal tax returns plus projections, a business plan, and a personal living expenses worksheet take their place.

Is it safe to upload financial documents online?

Through the Kala upload, yes. Files travel over encrypted connections into a private, access-controlled store, and are transferred to a funding source only with your authorization. Do not send financial documents as plain email attachments.
